All children have access to fresh water and milk throughout the day and included in the sessions we offer;
- Free of charge, freshly cooked/prepared morning and afternoon snacks for the children
- Highly trained, fully qualified and experienced staff
- SEN trained to provide specialist activities and care (Makaton, Attention Autism)
- Daily speech and language activities
- Small group/one to one activities
- Free of charge sun cream, the use of spare clothes, spare wipes and nappies (when available)
Unfortunately government funding for your child’s sessions does not cover any extra’s offered within the sector, therefore childcare settings are advised to make additional activities chargeable to parents if they wish to access them.
Little Wonders Preschool offers the additional activities below that go beyond the standard curriculum and are designed to enrich children’s learning and provide experiences beyond the core early education entitlement;
- Regular cooking activities for them to participate in.
- Daily Forest School sessions
- Regular trips within the community
- School trips
- celebration events
- Animal experiences
The ‘Additional Activities Charge’ is optional for all children and costs £1.50 per session (3 hours).
This will be itemised on your monthly invoice. If you do not wish for your child to participate in these additional activities then please inform the preschool office to opt out of this service (please see Charging Policy 9.6).
Children should bring to preschool a bag containing spare clothes, wipes and nappies (if required). If your child attends all day, we ask that parents provide a lunch bag in line with our Packed Lunch Policy 4.2.
Invoices are issued every month and we accept the following forms of payment;
- Government funding (15 or 30 funded hours for eligible 2,3 &4 year olds)
- Cash or Bank transfer
- Childcare voucher schemes (e.g. Computershare, Eden Red etc.)
- Tax Free Childcare Account (gov.uk)
We offer school uniform (unisex) that is embroidered with the Little Wonders Preschool logo. Parents can purchase uniform from www.Myclothing.com. Uniform is not compulsory and children can attend preschool in non-uniform (remember….dress for mess!).
